Tango Times Dance Studio, 1613 NE 163rd. Street in North Miami Beach, have classes in malambo, bombo, boleadoras and other dances every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Oscar Caballero is the instructor.

_ April Parker’s Mujer1 classes were a big hit in Atlanta. The milonga that followed the workshop found the teacher and wanted to know if there would be another class. Now, there will be.

The workshop will take place Sunday, March 11 and is limited to 12. You have to make a reservation in advance to take the class and you can do so here.

The cost is $20 and the workshop takes place from 2 to 4 p.m. Location will be given after registration (which has already begun).

_ Alicia Pons  is returning to Chicago from March 8 to 15, 2012 for a week of intensive tango workshops on March 10 and 11. There is an early bird discount but it ends in a couple of days (February 5).

These classes are for intermediate and advanced dancers and space is limited. They will also try to balance gender. You do need to sign up with a partner for individual class or full day pass. Private lessons will also be available. You can click HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Pons, an accomplished dancer with refined technique. She is known for footwork and “sensual seduction.” She also works with a sense of humor in her classes.

La Baldoza presents a day of classes with Geraldine and Ezequiel. Normally I would copy all the information down and find a photo but I have been really bad about posting here so I thought I would just post this ASAP.

The headline says Miami but it is really in Aventura which is convenient to Miami-Dade and Broward residents.

_ Naples area tango enthusiasts! Repun Tango (1673 Pine Ridge Rd. Suite, Naples) is having a New Years Eve Bash. Festivities begin at 7 p.m. on 12/31 and continue as long as people are still standing. The dinner will be catered, the music will be live, wine, champagne and surprises.


The cost is $65 per person BY RESERVATION ONLY. The capacity is limited so reserve now!

_ Korey and Adeline Ireland are heading back to Atlanta, December 2 through the 5th for a weekend of tango workshops and milongas. They were also in Atlanta last year. You can find out more about the pair at  www.koreyadeline.com . There is a video with their teaching methods.

Folks in Sarasota can now take advantage o a milonga at the New College of Florida in Sarasota. It is head in the music room of the Charles Ringling Mansion on campus. The release says the room is beautiful.

The milonga takes place November 18, 2011 from 7 to 10 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $10 which goes  to the student activities fund at the college. You can pay less if you are broke.
